Some History on Respect A Bull
We are not a group of doggie psychologists, veterinarians or experts in the pit bull breed. We are individuals who fell in love with a type of dog that is sadly misunderstood. We came together in recognition of that commonality and wanted to make a difference. While many people would walk by a dog with a particular “look” or the ever damning “pit bull” name attached to their cage card, we would ultimately be drawn to the dog. Some you can tell are dangerous and others the hope has come too late, but for the rest, the energy of life is too much to walk away from. They are a dog like no other: loyal, respectful, pleasing, and forever loving. Some in Respect A Bull are new to pit bulls, and others have been giving them a chance for over 8 years. They are not a dog for everyone, but neither is a Collie or Chihuahua. It is unfortunate they are seen as a news sensation on both TV and Radio. It is the irresponsible owners who are at fault, yet it becomes the dog that pays the ultimate price. Respect A Bull asks for the public to become educated and experienced on the very controversial topic of pit bulls. Before you make judgment on a type of animal, be sure to do your research and base it on actual fact and not just what you heard on TV that day.
